Video – The new Mercedes SLK revealed before its launch

Mercedes SLK was revealed through a promotional video, beyond the manufacturer’s launch plans, which scheduled the next generation debut during the Detroit Motor Show early next year. The roadster identified by R172 project name shines through the front CLS impressive style, with LED lights and rear spoiler.

Also, the new model benefits from Sky Magic Control Technology, which consists of special treatment for the roof glass, so as to be almost 100% transparent when light is low (night) and almost opaque when we are dealing with sunshine. Magic Sky Roof will cost about 2000 euros and will be an option.

Subaru presents Trezia, a model derived from Toyota Verso-S

Subaru introduced in Japan the twin model of Toyota Verso, named Trezia. The car will be offered on the domestic market with 1.3 and 1.5 liter engines. Subaru Trezia will have CVT transmission.

Subaru Version of the Toyota Verso-S will be equipped with front wheel drive, but also with AWD. This model is the first one developed by Fuji Heavy Industries, following the agreement signed in 2008 by Toyota and Subaru.

It’s official: Porsche Cajun will appear soon

After a period of two years when rumors have circulated concerning a SUV Porsche placed under Cayenne, behold officials give green light for the future Porsche Cajun. According to AutoExpress, those from Porsche, at their last board meeting has been confirmed officially that the German brand will build in the near future a smaller SUV than the Porsche Cayenne, called Porsche Cajun.

In other words, Porsche will offer very soon, a pertinent response given to the originaly Range Rover Evoque, which now can be considered the first SUV coupe on the market. As expected, Porsche Cajun technical platform will be shared with the next Audi Q5 generation, being a completely new MLB-Evo, which will allow small Cajun to benefit of a hybrid version.

Audi will launch RS7 in 2012

When Audi was launching the Sportback concept in 2009 at the Detroit Motor Show, there were rumors for for future surprises. As a result, the auto manufacturer has presented this year in Paris the series version Audi A7 Sportback.

And the news does not seem to stop here. It seems that Audi is preparing a special version of the model, which will provide very special performances. We speak, of course, of the probability of the RS7 launch, despite the fact that the news was not confirmed officially.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento gets closer to production

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept, presented at the recent Paris Auto Show, could go into production but only as a model circuit, according to company president Stephan Winkelmann.

In addition, Winkelmann said that Lamborghini will build, probably more copies for Sesto Elemento. The vehicle is made of forged carbon, a new material that helps keeping the weight up to 999 kg.

The first images of Opel Antara facelift

Opel has released the first photos of the new Antara, SUV that has suffered a facelift in four years after its commercial launch. Regarding the design, it stands with the new front grille which hosts a bigger logo more centrally located, wax decorative chrome lights, a redesigned bumper and increased air intakes.

Rear lights have been changed, and the lights benefits of LED technology. Optionally, customers can choose 19-inch alloy wheels for added sportiness. The engine range has also been improved, respecting all Euro 5 pollution standards. Thrusters offer a low consumption, but also a low emission level.
