Bentley customers can choose: one or two turbines for the Continental’s engine
The new Bentley Continental GT, but also the rest of the Continental model range, is currently enjoying a huge W12 engine. But pollution standards are valid for everyone, so Bentley is working on a little less engine cylinders. In addition, the economic crisis reach the highest level, and a smaller engine will decrease the price of these exclusive limousines.
Autocar magazine said the British car maker Bentley is exclusive in the process of repositioning and organization. And a first step in this sense is a little attention to ecology and a price decrease in the Continental range.

For this, Bentley said it plans to acquire Continental GT cars with a new engine, only 4 liters. It is a V8, a much smaller engine than the current W12. Gasoline engine will be new, but supercharged. If the customer wants a car for more docile, will simply opt for a turbo engine, which produces 415 hp. But if he wants power like the current engine and a car to reach 300 km/h, will choose the same V8 engine, but with two turbines, capable of producing 555 hp.
With the new engine, Bentley will drop drastically overall average mark of Chapter contaminant and will begin to be seen with the beautiful eyes of EU officials. In addition, future cars with engines “only” 4000 cc will make the total price of the car to be much smaller than the current version.
But once this step done, to ecology and more general customers, Bentley begins to perish, too, the old tradition. Before long we will see electric versions of its Continental GT…
