Detroit 2011: Hyundai Veloster, official images
After a series of rumors and speculation about how the series version of the Veloster concept will show, Hyundai has decided to do light with a series of official pictures. This three-door Coupe measures 4.22m in length, 1.79m wide and weighs 1172 kilograms.
The Korean brand’s designers have developed a bold body that has two doors on the right and a door on the left. Noteworthy is the glass ceiling that extends to the small telescope. The list of “oddities” continues with a trapezoidal tailpipe.
In standard equipment, Hyundai Veloster is equipped with 17-inch wheels and optional are available two different sets of 18 inches.

The model is powered by the new direct injection engine developed by Hyundai-Kia, on gas, 1.6 liters. The engine develops 140 hp at 6,300 rpm and 167 Nm of torque at 4850 rpm. Veloster consume less than 6 liters per hundred km on the highway.
Also, the series version of the prototype presented in Seoul in 2007, proudly presents the new dual-clutch transmission with six-speed DCT.
It seems that prices for the North American market will be below $20,000, equivalent to about 15,500 euros.
