BMW 1 Series M Coupe, official images and details

After the first movie released one day ago, BMW has returned with official information and images about the youngest 1 Series M Coupe to us. Bavarian model with three doors hides under the hood the bi-turbo charged 3.0-liter engine, in the same configuration as in the case of the sDrive35i Z4 supercar.

The unit develops 340 hp at 5900 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 4,500 revolutions per minute. The maximum torque can be extended to 500 Nm with overboost function. The engine transmits power through a manual gearbox with six gears.

Sprint from 0-100 km/h is achieved in just 4.9 seconds and top speed (electronically limited) reaches 250 km/h. These performances require only 9.6 gallons of gas/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 224 grams per kilometer.

The new BMW 1 Series Coupe M measures 4.38 m in length, has a height of 1.80 m and weighs 1495 kg distributed on the two axes in the configuration of 51.7/48.3. Compared to the 135i Coupe, the version on which is based, this model is winning 55 mm in width.

The car has alloy wheels and 19-inch and ventilated and perforated brake discs with a diameter of 360 mm front and 350 mm rear. M Coupe 1 Series provides customers with three colors for body fat accounts: Alpine White, Black Sapphire Metallic and Valencia Orange Metallic.

The model will be officially unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show, in spring 2011 and it will be launched on the market at an estimated price of 55,000 euros.
