How can it be called a gullwing model without its gullwing doors? Roadster, of course, and that’s what the Germans from Mercedes were ready to for next year’s edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show. Caught for the first time in tests about a year ago, the new Mercedes AMG Roadster SLS returned from Christmas vacation with a new friend – Audi R8 Spyder.

Is it good? Is it bad? It remains to be seen!

Until then we can admire the soft top’s first supercar from Affalterbach, which keeps the same lines as retro coupe version. Under the hood, Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster will benefit from a 6.3-liter V8 engine and 571 horsepower, the chassis will be redesigned to deliver extra rigidity to compensate for the lack of roof and gullwing doors.
