Citroen DS2, imagination exercise
Citroen is preparing to launch a new model to complement the new premium DS range. The machine, called DS2 seems to be an interesting concept version of Revolte, shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009.
Because from the prototype to production model is a long way, the French from Caradisiac.com made a graph which gives us an overview of what could be DS2. The model will be the 2CV’s third millennium, some strains being found in the famous ancestor. In the DS range, the future D2 will be positioned between Citroen DS1 and DS3. DS1 will be entry-level model of the range and will replace the three-door version of the C1.

Citroen DS2 will share with the next generation C1 platform and will measure approximately 360 cm in length. The car will compete directly with the Fiat 500, although the French model will have a body with five doors and four seats. In terms of engines, the premium car will be powered by petrol engines with power versions from 60 to 100 hp.
DS2 could reach the market in 2013 at a starting price of around EUR10,000. Later could be launched even an electric-powered version.
