Subaru presents Trezia, a model derived from Toyota Verso-S

Subaru introduced in Japan the twin model of Toyota Verso, named Trezia. The car will be offered on the domestic market with 1.3 and 1.5 liter engines. Subaru Trezia will have CVT transmission.

Subaru Version of the Toyota Verso-S will be equipped with front wheel drive, but also with AWD. This model is the first one developed by Fuji Heavy Industries, following the agreement signed in 2008 by Toyota and Subaru.

This experience will soon be repeated for FT-86 Coupe. Although there is no official confirmation yet, Trezia could be exported in Subaru European showrooms, at this moment the compact segment being represented only by Justy, also derived from a Daihatsu model.

Moreover, the MPV could debut at the Geneva Motor Show next spring. If the car will be sold throughout Europe, Subaru could complete the engines offer of 1.4 D-4D unit (already present in the case of Toyota), which develops 95 hp and consumes 4.3 litres/100 km, being indispensable on Europe markets.
