BMW E36 M5 and Adam Kerenyi

King of Europe Drift Series 2009 ended with Adam Kerényi on position 1. Most of those who have followed the steps King Of Europe Drift was so impressed he offered the show, and the correct execution of the drifts. The car was a shock for everybody, the only one in the championship changed radically, so the pilot position to be in the back seat.

Adam Kerényi pilot developments we all know, if we do not know, we know now. We thought to present the entire evolution of the premiere is called King of Europe Drift Series 2009 and, last but not least, the car competes.

Adam Kerényi entered the world of motor sport at age 5 years, when it was learned to ride a motorcycle even by his father. At 8 years came into karting having as a teacher on Janos Kesjar to 14 years, this inviting the young pilot to approach the turns at speeds as high, getting impressive stroke karting circuits. In 2004 he gave up motorcycles and started to drive cars with rear-wheel drive and participate in various skill and slalom races for amateurs. Since 2006 participated in all official events of drift in Hungary and in many European stages. 2005 was the first year when the drift appeared as a sport in Hungary, Adam Kerényi having an important role by establishing the Hungarian Drift Association.

Also this year, Adam Kerényi has purchased the first car that was to be used especially for Drift – BMW E30 engine of Alpina 2.700cmc. In 2006 he won second place in the Hungarian Drift Championship and participated in as many events for drag and demo to present both car and qualitative pilot that owned them. This year earned 3rd place in the International Drift Challenge and the German magazine Sport Auto Magazine did an article about its results.

Year 2007 came with a new configuration of the machine, which is equipped with a 4400 cc V8 engine and the event held on the Hockenheim-Ring has collected 25,000 visitors.

In 2008, Adam Kerényi has appeared with the already known E36 BMW M5 equipped with a 3,800 cc engine, getting no less than 400 hp. The motor car was pushed inwards by about 40 cm to get sharing equal weight on both decks, unique project in Europe.

How an ambitious project engine could not remain in the values given by the manufacturer was modified cylinder heads, Wiseco forged pistons were introduced, and the ECU has been optimized to meet the demands of the pilot. Other details include direct K & N intake and dual exhaust with 55 mm diameter. Its transmission, received a 6-speed gearbox and limited slip differential with a 4.45 short report.

Also, suspensions and direction have changed, Adam choosing G4 Racing adjustable dampers from KW springs. Bascule added and adjustable arms that help to change position and angle their wheels, while steering box was replaced with one borrowed from the BMW M3 E92. Disc brakes were changed Zimmerman Ferodo DS 3000 Racing and pleasant addition hydraulic handbrake.

On the exterior, the car received a facelift for BMW E46 and M3 package, which is filled convertible, roof and trunk of carbon fiber. Front wings were changed and replaced by some glass fiber, while the rear wings were flared to allow installation of wheel flat. Changelog outer ends with wheels Dotz Togue 8×17 “Dotz Tupac or 9, respectively 10×18″.

In conclusion, after many modifications, the car has come to weigh 1100kg, the weight is divided 50/50 on the front and rear.

Over the years, Adam Kerényi managed to collect numerous awards, with an enviable track record worthy.
